A long break

Wow, I haven’t been updating this blog for a while.. that is because I haven’t really stitched anything either since the last WIPocalypse update. I lost the need of stitching and instead I have been playing alot of WoW and I also took up my other big hobby: building ship models.

So I haven’t been totally idle. I love my boats and I love to work with them, seeing how they slowley come to life. At the moment I am building Amati’s RMS Titanic and Corel’s Flying Fish. Hard word but it’ll be rewarding.

However, today I received page 2 of the SAL 2012 SK Forbidden Doorway by Dillman! Yey! That and looking att all the beautiful progresses on yuku, I desided to give it a try and so I put in the first 120 stitches on that second page. I had forgotten how hard it is to stitch this design and stitching it on black waeve… It was nice but I am already tired in my eyes, neck and shoulders.

Here’s some pictures on my boat modelling:

    Hi Linda,

I thought I’d check out your website and was pleasantly surprised when I did. Believe it or not, I started doing counted cross stitch back in the late 1970′s when I was stationed in Germany where I lived for 5 years. I used 25 count Laguna and stitched over 1 thread. In the 1980′s I got out of the Army after a divorce and continued my stitching. After entering a number of my works in a counted cross stitch contest, I won first place, second place and best of show.

I’ve since retired from stitching and have been building model ships for over 25 years now. I’m amazed at your work and can see that you’re as passionate at stitching and building model ships as I am. I’ll be checking back occasionally to see your progress. Thanks for sharing these wonderful hobbies with the world.

      Hi Bob!
Thanks for visiting my site! It’s been a while since I updated it though – guess I should do something about that.
And thank you for sharing your story, I appreciated it!
